David A. Cvengros

Douglas Bishop


David A. Cvengros was born in Escanaba, Michigan and is a graduate of Escanaba High School. He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1990 and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1994. He was a member of Cooley's National Moot Court Team. He is a member of the American Bar Association and Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim County Bar Association having served two terms on the board of governors and is active with community pro bono efforts.

Mr. Cvengros is admitted to practice in all Michigan Courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. Practice areas include estate planning and probate administration, trusts, personal injury, third party no-fault insurance litigation, business and commercial litigation, collections, domestic relations, criminal law and oil & gas litigation.

In his personal life, he has been married for 20 years and has two daughters.  He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and has coached high school and travel girls softball.  He has been associated with Bishop & Heintz PC since 1994 and became a shareholder in 2008.


Mr. Cvengros has been successful in resolving a number of cases in favor of Bishop & Heintz clients. Mr. Cvengros has become one of the most knowledgeable road liability attorneys in Michigan.
