Meagan Raftery Belden was born in Chicago, Illinois and lived in various parts of the country before moving to Traverse City with her family where she graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1994. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998 and received her Juris Doctorate degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2001 with a concentration in Health Law. Ms. Belden is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Illinois, the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Traverse - Leelanau - Antrim County Bar Association. She is currently a member of the Board of Governors for the Grand Traverse - Leelanau - Antrim County Bar Association as well as President of its Young Lawyer’s Association and a member and former Secretary of its Women Lawyer’s Association. In addition to general practice and civil litigation, her areas of emphasis include business law, family law, probate and estate planning, and health law.
